Consisting of mature woods and intensely beautiful green foliage, Sungai Tekala Recreational Forest (Hutan Lipur Sungai Tekala) is a stretch of lowland dipterocarp forest.

With Cheras and Kajang to the west and Semenyih to the south, the area has long been known among locals as the perfect nature hideout.

Open to nature lovers since 1982, this pristine tropical rainforest forms part of the vast Taman Negeri Selangor.

There will never be a dull moment during your trip here as you will be preoccupied with the sights, sounds and smells of nature.

Visitors may rent a chalet or pay minimal fees to set up tents at the campsite for an overnight stay in the forest. Facilities including gazebos, food stalls, a prayer room and washrooms are available.

Sungai Tekala Recreational Forest is located towards the eastern border of Selangor. The nearest townships include Cheras, Kajang, Semenyih, Seri Kembangan, Bukit Jalil, Bandar Baru Bangi and Sungai Besi.
