Jimmy’s Durian Orchard is a family-run orchard located ±1 hour’s drive from Kuala Lumpur.
The 20-acre orchard is situated right alongside Karak Highway near the Selangor-Pahang border.
Parts of the orchard straddles the side of a hill; a brief hike to the top is rewarded with views of the nearby Titiwangsa Mountain Range.
Near the entrance of Jimmy’s Durian Orchard is a visitor center equipped with fans, seating and restrooms. Cold drinks can be purchased here.
Durian enthusiasts may pick and choose from several varieties offered at the orchard including the popular Musang King, D24, Tekka and Kampung durians.
Other fruits cultivated here include mangosteens, rambutans, butternut squash, kedondong, jackfruit, ciku, avocado, bananas, papayas and more.
Tips
During weekends, most visitors head to the orchard in the morning as the durians sell out as early as 1pm.
The durian season generally lasts between mid-June to mid-August each year, so it is best to enquire if there are any durians available before visiting.
What to pack?
Comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen lotion, binoculars, insect repellent and an umbrella will complement your trip to the orchard.
The hike to the top can be steep at some points but is worth the climb for views of the Titiwangsa Mountain Range and the many clusters of durian trees on the way up.

Entry to the orchard is free. Durians are priced at market value, which changes daily (e.g. RM30-45/kg for Musang King).
Parking spaces are available inside and outside Jimmy’s Durian Orchard, on the path leading out to the highway.

Visitors often stop by the small town of Karak, less than 10 kilometers away, for breakfast or lunch before/after heading to the orchard.

How to get to Jimmy’s Durian Orchard
From Kuala Lumpur/Selangor, get on Karak Highway and drive past Bentong Toll. Continue until you pass Kampung Sungai Dua. From then on, observe the KM signs on the highway and at KM75.1, turn left at the orchard entrance.
