Details

Farm In The City is a petting zoo in Seri Kembangan about a 15-minute drive away from Puchong. It is run by the same operator of the KL Tower Mini Zoo.

The layout of Farm In The City is based on the atmosphere of a traditional Malaysian kampung or village, fruit orchard and farm with its natural plants and wildlife.

In the interest of the animals’ welfare and in order to encourage visitor interaction, the animals at Farm In The City are not kept in cages and are instead allowed to roam free in special enclosures which mimic as closely as possible their natural habitat.

Some of the animals over here include the Falabella horse (world’s smallest breed), racoons, fennec foxes, meerkats, ponies, snakes, skunks, prairie dogs, macaws, storks, slow loris, owls, porcupines, deers, mousedeers, buffalos, marmosets, white peacocks, Himalayan striped squirrels, iguanas, swans, ducks, koi fish, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, alpacas, wallabies, turtles and giant tortoises.

Most of the animals are very tame and will even feed from your hand. There is also a nursery where animal gazers may observe incubating eggs.

Round off your day by visiting the fruit and vegetable farm featuring over 100 tropical fruit trees and plants, including rambutan, banana, passion fruit and mangosteen as well as tapioca, winged beans (kacang botol), long beans (kacang panjang) and others.

Farm In The City also engages in various educational, conservation (captive breeding) and research programs related to wildlife, agriculture and the environment.

Besides catering to locals from surrounding neighbourhoods, Farm In The City is also popular among students on field trips from nearby schools and families looking to spending quality time with their kids.
