Details

Walk through 7,000 square meters of interactive exhibits, games and displays to learn about the oil exploration process, including the technology used and how the petroleum industry has shaped the Malaysian landscape in terms of economy and social status.

Go back in time to the period where dinosaurs ruled the Earth some 200 million years ago and learn about the relationship between fossils and petroleum. This fascinating journey of education and discovery also brings you to modern times, highlighting the importance of petroleum products in our daily life and how they have come to shape the world we live in.

The most exciting section of Petrosains is without doubt the “Flight To The Oil Platform”. Here, visitors get to experience the adrenaline rush of a helicopter simulation ride that takes you more than 100km out at sea. As you leave the mainland, be prepared as the helicopter passes through a storm to send workers to the oil platform. Interestingly enough, the oil platform was designed according to scale, including the surprisingly small workers’ living space to give visitors a sense of what it feels like working on an actual platform.
