Details
Following in the footsteps of art districts around the world, such as Beijing’s ‘798 Art Zone’, Shah Alam’s very own Laman Seni 7 is an initiative undertaken by the city council (MBSA) to transform the back alleys of commercial and industrial areas into safe, clean and visually-pleasing spaces with murals and street art.
The featured installations were chosen after several competitions were held to determine the best art under 4 categories: 3D Painting, 3D Installation, Street Furniture and On-site Painting.
The 10 best entries from each category were chosen to progress to the final rounds before being evaluated and given the green light to proceed.
The murals and street art are mainly based on themes and concepts involving ‘Shah Alam Community’, ‘Tourist Attractions’ and ‘Green Concept’.
Laman Seni 7 is situated next to (±1.5km) and often visited together with i-City Shah Alam.
