Details

Residents of Shah Alam no longer need to travel all the way to Kuala Lumpur’s Hibiscus Park to feast their eyes on the national flower. The capital city of Selangor now has its very own Dataran Bunga Raya (Hibiscus Square).

In the evenings, visitors can be seen taking leisurely strolls in the park, as a gentle fountain adds to the peace and serenity of the area.

Couples and newlyweds frequently have their wedding photos taken at this scenic section of the lake gardens.

The Bunga Raya’s five petals symbolizes the country’s Rukunegara (National Principles) and the bright red colour represents courage and strength.
